Kids are being hooked by algorithms that steal their focus and erode their mental health. Washington should require mandatory age limits for platforms and cut off addictive feeds.

• Support Passage of SB 5708. SB 5708 seeks to: Verify users under 18 with reasonable certainty, prohibit addictive, algorithm-driven feeds aimed at minors, ban push notifications during school hours (8 a.m.–3 p.m.) and overnight, and mandate features allowing users to limit their own use (e.g., blackout hours, turning off likes/comments, switching to chronological feeds).
